Exciting investment opportunity! The Refurbishment planned for this historic site will retain and enhance its authentic charm to create an atmosphere that resonates with the village’s rich past.
Pub Overview
Charming & Historic Village PubThe Belper Arms is located in Newton Burgoland, an affluent village in Leicestershire. The site has status as being the oldest pub in Leicester and dates back to as far back as 1290. The pub is also the only pub in the village, which makes it the go-to place for locals and can be the destination of choice for those coming from further afield. It is located on Main Street, which goes through the heart of Newton Burgoland.
The current offer at the Belper Arms consists of a good quality food and drinks menu. The pub has catering facilities, which gives an experienced food operator the ability to build their own menu and food offer. The pub can also host functions and events which can increase trade.
Experience Food & Drinks Pub Operator Required
Do you have the positive and driving attitude of a successful pub owner? Do you have a clear vision for how you can bring success to a village pub? If so, we want to work with you. We need someone that can deliver excellent hospitality. The ability to drive trade via a strong offer of food and drink is essential, as is a passion for real ales.

The private accommodation consists of two bedrooms, a kitchen & bathroom and a lounge and where required there will be appropriate works carried out in line with the Star Pubs & Bars Ready to Trade Promise.Trading Area & Facilities
The pub has a mix of traditional and modern furniture throughout the internal trading areas giving the site a unique yet familiar feel. Exposed beam ceilings and exposed brickwork throughout the pub adds to the conventional aesthetic. There is a cosy lounge area with a brick fireplace and ample comfortable armchairs for locals! In addition to this, the site also has a large dining room in a separate section of the pub which has space for an additional circa 30 covers. The catering facilities have recently been upgraded so there is a great opportunity for the future operator to provide an excellent food offer.
Externally the pub has a large beer garden with a children’s play area and patio. There is also space for approx. 25+ cars in the car park to the side of the site.
