Schedule:Full-time; scheduled 32 hours a week, with an every 3rd Saturday rotation.

Job Summary:
Provides direct or indirect care to a varying number of patients and performs various functions associated with hemodialysis treatments independently and under the direction of a registered nurse.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares patients for procedures by taking vital statistics and reviewing dialysis orders and lab work.
- Sets up and monitors equipment for procedures both during and after.
- Notes and documents patient's condition during procedure via observation, interview and monitoring of vital statistics; reports abnormal assessment findings.
- Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Obtains, processes and transports blood samples and culture specimens as ordered.
- Demonstrates proficiency in performing dialysis treatments and in cannulation of vascular access.
- Monitors and trouble shoots dialysis machine and RO/water system.
- Participates in quality improvement activities to include collection of data and machine maintenance.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
