As aProject Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and providing investment and technical support on capital projects. The Project Engineer prepares documentation, budgets, plans, and technical solutions suitable for each specific project. You will oversee the installation and potential modifications of machines and equipment both on-site and off-site, supervise and manage the work of external contractors and internal staff, and be accountable for adherence to the planned budget. You will be responsible for the proper implementation of applicable technical standards and local regulations, and you will contribute to technical development and be accountable for its implementation.

What

Does This Job Look Like?

• Overall management of capital projects at the manufacturing plant in Granollers, Barcelona, Spain.
• Defining the correct requirements for technologies that meet the needs of production teams while complying with the company's safety and quality standards
• Creating budgets, timelines, and investment requirements based on quotations and feasibility assessments
• Coordinating internal and external resources for project needs
• Collaborating with other teams on technology trial tests, FMEA analysis, and process troubleshooting
• Coordinating technical departments and reporting on project status
• Commissioning technology into operation and evaluating performance after the trial period
• Assisting in organizing tenders for the purchase of new technologies, machines, and equipment, or leading these tenders including evaluation of bids and securing purchase orders
• Accountability for adherence to project budgets and timelines
• Accountability for preparing project status reports
• Accountability for compliance with project management rules and processes

What extra ingredients you will bring:

• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing company in a similar role
• Experience managing engineering projects from the start to end: technical, capex management, suppliers' negotiation, project defence, installation and commissioning.
• Food or chemical industry experience is a preference, but any other industry will be also considered.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD
• General technological awareness, analytical skills, negotiation skills and logical thinking
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
• Experience with the implementation of automation equipment
• Very good knowledge of English language and Spanish is essential
