Backend Developer (Node.js / Nest.js) – Remote

This role offers the opportunity to help build and scale the backend systems that power this infrastructure while collaborating closely with engineering, AI, and product teams.

Role Overview

As aBackend Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and scaling of backend services that support high-volume data workflows and internal tooling. You will work closely with frontend engineers, AI teams, and product stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance systems while maintaining strong engineering standards and clear communication across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services usingNode.js and Nest.js

• Design, implement, and optimizePostgreSQL databases

• Develop scalable infrastructure usingAWS or Google Cloud Platform, including serverless components

• Implement and manageRedis for caching, queue management, and high-throughput workflows

• Ensure backend systems maintain strongperformance, reliability, and security

• Deliver clean, well-documentedAPIs

• Implementmonitoring, logging, and alerting best practices

• ImproveCI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

• Participate inarchitecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering planning

Required Qualifications

• Strong production experience withNode.js and Nest.js

• Advanced knowledge ofPostgreSQL, including data modeling, queries, and performance optimization

• Hands-on experience working withAWS or Google Cloud Platform and serverless architectures

• Practical experience integrating and managingRedis

• Solid understanding ofbackend architecture, scalability, security, and performance

• Proficiency withGit/GitHub and modernCI/CD tools

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withDevOps practices or Infrastructure as Code

• Knowledge ofevent-driven or real-time architectures

• Familiarity withmicroservices and distributed systems

Compensation & Benefits

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is$90,000 – $140,000 USD.
