Core Responsibilities
- Server-Side Logic:Write clean, scalable code to handle business logic, data processing, and user requests. [ 1 ,2 ,3 ]
- API Development:Build and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs to allow communication between the front-end, back-end, and external third-party services. [ 1 ,2 ]
- Database Management:Design schemas, optimize queries, and manage relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or non-relational (e.g., MongoDB) databases. [ 1 ,2 ,3 ]
- Security & Authentication:Implement data encryption, user authentication, role-based access control, and follow security best practices (like OWASP guidelines). [ 1 ,2 ]
- Performance & Optimization:Set up caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis), tune server response times, and scale application architecture. [ 1 ]
- DevOps & Deployment:Work with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), web servers (Nginx), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). [ 1 ,2 ,3 ]
Technical Stack & Skills
- Languages:Python, Java, Node.js/JavaScript, C#, Ruby, or PHP.
- Frameworks:Spring Boot, Django, Express.js, Laravel, or ASP.NET.
- Databases:PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Tools & Infrastructure:Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Nginx, AWS/Azure, and CI/CD tools.
- Architecture:Microservices, distributed systems, and serverless design. [ 1 ,2 ,3 ,4 ]
Qualifications & Experience
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience/bootcamp completion.
- Experience:Typically ranges from 2–5+ years of hands-on server-side development, depending on whether the role is Junior, Mid-level, or Senior. [ 1 ,2 ,3 ,4 ]
