BUTCHERY ASSISTANT

Babylonstoren is looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Butchery Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily butchery and production activities
• Pack, weigh and label meat products according to specifications
• Ensure all products are packed neatly, accurately and to a high standard
• Assist with stock handling, stock rotation and storage
• Prepare packaging materials, equipment and work areas for production
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic working environment
• Follow all food-safety, hygiene and workplace-safety procedures
• Support the butchery team with general production duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a butchery, food-production or packing environment will be advantageous
• Willingness to learn and work effectively as part of a team
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a cold environment
• Strong commitment to cleanliness, hygiene and product quality
• Willingness to work flexible hours when required
