As an IT Project Manager at the P3 level, you will own medium-to-complex projects end-to-end: shaping the business case, driving planning and execution, and delivering measurable outcomes on time and within budget. You will operate with real independence, determining the best path to the objective while partnering closely with business sponsors, technical teams, vendors, and Micron leadership.

This role is positioned for a project manager who has moved beyond executing defined tasks and is trusted to lead through ambiguity, influence stakeholders without formal authority, mentor less experienced team members, and build the independent judgment needed for driving project outcomes

Responsibilities:

Project Initiation

• Develop project charters that clearly define objectives, scope, benefits, and success criteria.
• Identify stakeholders and build RACI matrices that establish clear decision rights from day one.
• Define high-level scope, milestones, and timelines aligned to the business case and Micron’s strategic roadmap.
• Identify cross-domain dependencies early and connect the problem to project and PMO outcomes, not just deliverables.
• Support vendor selection and partner engagement through scoping conversations and early commercial input.

Project Planning

• Establish project governance, including sponsors, core team, and extended project team, and drive effective kickoff activities.
• Facilitate business and technical requirements gathering across functional and technical stakeholder groups.
• Establish and maintain project management artifacts, ensuring a well-governed and transparent tracking of project progress, risks, and dependencies
• Forecast project spend, SOWs, and POs, and support financial planning and budget tracking throughout the lifecycle.
• Support executive reviews and stage-gate approvals with decision-ready materials, not just status updates.

Project Execution & Closure

• Manage project scope, quality, schedule, and deliverables, adapting the plan as new information emerges.
• Track development, SOE, and UAT milestones, and translate progress into clear, decision-ready status for leadership.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and escalations by bringing recommendations and options, not just problems.
• Provide consistent and accurate status reporting to PMO and leadership teams.
• Facilitate lessons learned and drive formal project closure and approval.

Leadership and PMO Excellence

• Lead cross-functional project teams and build shared alignment around the project vision.
• Resolve conflicts constructively and manage resource allocation across the project team.
• Provide mentorship to less experienced team members and contribute to continuous improvement in PMO process efficiency.
• Actively adopt AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve planning, reporting, and delivery efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience, including ownership of medium-to-complex, cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently under project or sub-function objectives, determining the best method to deliver rather than requiring step-by-step direction.
• Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies, applied to fit the project context.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce decision-ready updates for sponsors and leadership.
• Strong change management capabilities and experience facilitating stakeholder alignment without formal authority.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity, reporting, or analytics tools applied to project or portfolio management.
• Experience mentoring junior project team members
• Inclusive, collaborative, and comfortable engaging with technical, non-technical, vendor, and leadership teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification.
• Experience managing enterprise-wide, cross-functional programs spanning multiple sites or geographies.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent certifications/professional experience. Related disciplines considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in enterprise technology, infrastructure, security, digital workplace, platform migration, application delivery or related programs

Success in this role is measured through strong delivery against P3 expectations, including independent decision-making, governance leadership, stakeholder influence, analytical rigor, AI-enabled PMO excellence, coaching, integrity, and measurable project outcomes.
