Endeavor Health is recruiting for a full-time occupational health physician. Exciting opportunity to join the occupational health team in our Naperville market at Edward Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care: Treat work-related injuries and illnesses and manage workers’ compensation cases.
- Evaluations: Perform pre-placement, return-to-work, DOT, and fitness-for-duty exams.
Position Highlights:
- Position: EHMG Board Certified Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent care
- Location: 120 Spalding Drive, Naperville, IL; may travel to other locations in the market.
- Full Time - direct medical services 1800 hours per year

- Salary range: $230,000-269,000. Â The pay rate offered is determined within the pay range and is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to FTE, prior experience, certifications, degrees, subspecialties, projected volumes, and quality performance measures.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Level
- Graduate of an accredited and recognized medical school required.
Minimum Licensure Requirements
- Eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois.
Minimum Certification Requirements
- Board certification/Board eligible in area of expertise.
- DOT Certified
- MRO Certification is a plus
- BLS
Minimum Work Experience
- Â Experience in immediate care, urgent care, ER, or occupational health required
What you will do:
- Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating clinical patients in order to meet their medical needs
- Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials and resources for the patients and families
- Shares health care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure the availability of a physician at all times.
- Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs
- Determines level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments
- Exercises final medical judgment in all issues of health care
- Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients
- Orders studies, test and ancillary services
- Documents all services in patient medical record
- Reviews on a regular basis long-term cases that require ongoing medical attention
- Consults with Medical Director and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues
- Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the hospital or clinic requirements
- Oversees mid-level medical staff if assigned as well as nursing clinical staff
- Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries from patients
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations
