Azure Infrastructure Engineer - Remote

Cloud Engineer position open for afull-time professional located in theEastern Time Zone with3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience. Must have experience withAzure infrastructure, Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure VMs, Azure Storage, networking, Active Directory/Entra ID, VMware, and Windows Server administration. This role is best suited for an infrastructure-focused Cloud Engineer who is comfortable building, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting Azure and traditional enterprise infrastructure.

Join a collaborative IT infrastructure team with a growing Microsoft Azure environment and a mix of cloud and traditional infrastructure projects. This is a permanent position offering full benefits and remote flexibility for candidates located within the Eastern Time Zone. Greenville, SC-area candidates should be comfortable working onsite 2-3 days a week.

Requirements & Skills

• 3+ years of hands-onMicrosoft Azure / Azure infrastructure experience
• Experience building, configuring, administering, and troubleshootingAzure cloud environments
• Hands-on experience withAzure Functions and Azure App Services
• Experience withAzure Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure Storage/Blob Storage, monitoring, and cost analysis
• Experience withAzure networking, including VNets, subnets, VPN connectivity, and related network configuration
• Experience withActive Directory and Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
• Experience withVMware/vSphere and virtualized infrastructure
• Experience administeringWindows Server environments
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, VPNs, and firewall configuration
• Experience withPowerShell or other scripting and automation tools
• Experience troubleshooting cloud, server, virtualization, networking, and application infrastructure issues
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with infrastructure, development, and security teams
• Azure certification preferred but not required
• Linux administration experience preferred but not required
• GoAnywhere or other managed file transfer experience is a plus but can be trained

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, administer, and supportMicrosoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services
• Configure and supportAzure Functions, App Services, Virtual Machines, Storage, and related Azure resources
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure networking, connectivity, and infrastructure dependencies
• Monitor Azure environments, analyze resource utilization and costs, and identify opportunities for optimization
• Administer and supportActive Directory/Entra ID, Windows Server, VMware, and virtualized infrastructure
• Troubleshoot production issues across cloud, server, virtualization, networking, and application infrastructure
• Develop and maintainPowerShell scripts and automation for infrastructure and administrative tasks
• Support cloud migrations, infrastructure deployments, upgrades, and implementation projects
• Monitor system availability and performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Partner with Information Security to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain secure infrastructure
• Provide advanced technical support and root-cause troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues
• Maintain system documentation, configurations, technical procedures, and infrastructure diagrams
• Support secure file-transfer platforms and other enterprise infrastructure applications
