About the Role

ELITS Canada is looking for an experiencedAzure Cloud Engineer for aremote consulting assignment based in Canada. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada and able to perform the role remotely from within Canada.

In this role, you will play a key part in building scalable, secure, and highly automatedMicrosoft Azure environments, with a strong focus onInfrastructure as Code, Azure Kubernetes Service, developer enablement, and cloud platform excellence. You will help shape cloud architecture standards, improve automation, and support development teams with modern cloud native best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalableMicrosoft Azure cloud solutions in enterprise environments.

• Lead the development and continuous improvement ofInfrastructure as Code practices usingTerraform.

• Build, manage, and optimizeAzure Kubernetes Service, also known asAKS, environments and relatedKubernetes platforms.

• Develop and maintain securecontinuous integration and continuous delivery, also known asCI/CD, pipelines for cloud native applications and infrastructure deployments.

• Establish and promote cloud architecture standards, automation frameworks, and governance practices across the Azure environment.

• Support development teams with cloud native best practices, platform guidance, and secure deployment patterns.

• Strengthen platform reliability through monitoring, logging, observability, and proactive operational improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, with at leastfive years of relevant professional experience.

• Senior level experience working withMicrosoft Azure in complex enterprise environments.

• Deep expertise inInfrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Very strong experience withAzure Kubernetes Serviceand Kubernetesadministration in production environments.

• Strong background insoftware development and a solid understanding of cloud native engineering practices.

• Hands on experience building and maintaining securecontinuous integration and continuous deliverypipelines.

• Experience with identity and access management, secrets management, governance, monitoring, logging, and observability.
