Our team is searching for an experienced and self-motivated Technical Writer who excels at analyzing complex information and translatingit into clear written and visual instructions for our customers. Our geographically distributed product team developsproducts for semiconductor fabrication and assembly, test,andpackaging industries.These products help customers automate,monitor, andoptimize factory operations.Â
Whatyou’ll be doingÂ
As aTechnical Writer on our team,you’llbe responsible for:Â
Reviewing and contributing to software design specifications thatdescribe product enhancements and changes.Â
Collaborating closely with software engineers, product managers, customer support, and quality assurance teams to gather product information.Â
Installing and usingsoftware both locally and in virtual machine environmentsto explore and document software features. Â
Creatingdiagrams and screenshots to help users understandsoftware architecture and features.Â
Authoring online Help, release notes, and installation instructionswith clear overviewsand easy-to-follow procedures.Â
Ensuringtechnicallyaccurate, high-quality product documentation thatmeets requirements and is deliveredon time.Â
Using AI tools to enhance your workflow,driveproductivity, andsolve technical problems.Â
Whatwe’re looking forÂ
Key requirements for this position include:Â
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, English,Technical Communication, or a related discipline.Â
3+ years writing experience, preferably in the software industry.Â
Excellent written and verbal communicationskills, with the abilityto adapt your writing to conform to a corporate style guide.Â
Adept at interviewing subject matter expertsto gather the informationneeded to generate best-in-class content.Â
Closeattention to detail andstrong multitasking abilities.Â
General knowledge of software systems and adesire to understand software features.Â
Ability to workbothindependentlyand collaborativelyas part of a distributed team.Â
What will give you an edgeÂ
Additional skills that would make you stand out for this position include:Â
Experience with a programming or scripting language (such as C#,PowerShell, or Python).Â
Experience documentingcomplex product suites.Â
Familiarity with the Microsoft Writing Style Guide.Â
Experience working in an agileenvironment and using Jira for ticketprogresstracking.Â
Experience withtheMadCap FlareHelp authoring tool.Â
Familiarity with UNIX orcommand-line applications.Â
Experience with version control systems (such as Git). Â
Experience with AI tools such as Copilot or Claude.Â
