Job Description
Position Title:Laborer
Position Reports To:Foreman
Position Summary
A Laborer shall perform or assist in the removal,fitting, and application of new insulation materials and/or coverings asrequired per the job scope. A Laborer shall also perform general site work such as loading and unloading equipment and materials, site clean-up and preparation,mobilization, and demobilization to and from the jobsite, and general construction tasks
Essential Functions
Follow verbal directions asrequired to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below.
Heavy lifting will often berequired to perform tasks.
Must be able to kneel, squat, and climb.
Must be able to perform required duties for extended periods of time.
Clean up of work area, supplies, materials, and equipment.
Communicate regularly with the Field Foremanwith regard to issues and concerns on the job site.
Responsible for ensuring that work continues in the Foreman’s absence.
Comply with all Apache and client safety policies and programs.
Maintain a reliable attendancerecords
Alwaysmaintains a clean and safe work environment
Work unsupervised in an efficient and effective manner.
Able to wear all required PPE
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Ability to safelyoperate various vehicles and equipment
Previous experience, especially in particular industry, preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
Attentive to detail and alertat all times to ensure safety
Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers
May have toset up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures.
Helpcarpenters,masons, and other specializedcontractor’sclean-up of workareas, supplies,materials, and equipment.
Includes cleaning and preparing a job site,loading, and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
WorkConditions/Physical Demands
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Must be able to work in high noise volumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dusty conditions, hazardous machinery, precarious places, proximity to other employees.
