Maintenance Engineer

Rivers Hospital - Sawbridgeworth

37.5 Hours Per Week

An exciting opportunity for an Engineer has arisen at Rivers Hospital in Sawbridgeworth.

In this role you will play a vital role in keeping our hospital safe, compliant, and operational.

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Engineer to deliver high-quality maintenance and technical

support across our sites.

Where you'll be based:

Rivers Hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading independent healthcare

providers in England.

The hospital has an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare for patients with

health insurance, patients who are self-funding treatment or NHS patients exercising choice

through the e-referral system.

What you'll do:

• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive

tasks within agreed Service Level Agreements in all areas of Hospital

maintenance.

• Ensure statutory inspections and remedial works are completed on time.

• Provide first-line support for medical gases and fire safety systems.

• Liaise with contractors, manage permits, and oversee minor repair works.

• Support project management and compliance initiatives.

• Participate in an on-Call rota for emergency cover

What We’re Looking For:

• Nationally recognised certification for plumbing.

• Post-apprenticeship maintenance experience.

• Multi-skilled (preferably plumbing ) with strong fault-finding skills

• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, Legionella prevention, and MMS

systems

• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills

• Willingness to be a team player and work on own initiative.

• A full UK driving license is required
