Your Role at Axual

As aBackend (Full-Stack) Software Engineer, you’ll:

✅Design and build features that make our solutions scalable, secure, and easy to use
✅ Work with modern open-source tools, fromJava to Kafka and Docker
✅ Contribute to a wide range of real projects:Kafka-related projects, Helm charts, and our Terraform provider.
✅ Write clean, testable, and maintainablecode that powers real-time data platforms
✅ Collaborate in across-functional, agile team where ideas matter and ownership is key
✅Support our customers andshare your knowledge with colleagues and the wider tech community

What You Bring

🔹 3+ years experience withJava in a professional environment (preferably enterprise)
🔹 Deep understanding ofmicroservices architecture andcontainerization
🔹 Hands-on experience withDocker andKubernetes
🔹 Familiarity withGit,Maven, andCI/CD practices
🔹 A strongproduct mindset- proud of what you build and care about the “why” behind it

Bonus Points For:

⭐ Experience withApache Kafka or other streaming/messaging systems

⭐ Experience withKafka Connect we build and maintain Connect plugins

⭐ Working knowledge ofHelm Charts

⭐ Effective use of AI coding tools likeClaude Code
