Summary

• The AWS Application Cloud Engineer – Senior Associate is responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing application platforms on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role requires strong hands‑on expertise in AWS-native application services, automation, and cloud operational excellence.
• The Senior Associate serves as a technical escalation point, leads complex troubleshooting, drives standardization and automation, and partners closely with application development, architecture, and platform teams.

Responsibilities

·Lead deployment and operation of cloud-hosted applications on AWS

·Design and implement application hosting solutions using:

oAWS Elastic Beanstalk

oECS / EKS

oLambda and serverless services

·Lead application integration with:

oAWS RDS / DynamoDB

oS3

oMessaging and event-driven services

·Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using AWS DevOps tools (Codepipeline, Codebuild, etc)and third-party tools

·Implement monitoring, logging, and ing using CloudWatch and related services

·Perform advanced troubleshooting of application performance, scalability, and availability

·Define and enforce standards for:

oApplication configurations

oDeployment models

oSecurity and IAM integration

·Support application modernization and cloud migration initiatives

·Collaborate with Cloud Architects and DevOps teams on solution design

·Act as escalation point for production incidents and lead root cause analysis

·Mentor Associate-level engineers (as applicable)

·Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives

·Technical Skills

oStrong expertise in AWS application services

oHands-on experience with:

§EC2,ECS / EKS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk

§Se, RDS, DynamoDB

§AWS networking and IAM

oStrong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices

oExperience with automation and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Node.js and/or .NET

oFamiliarity with RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture

oExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible)

oUnderstanding of application security and resiliency patterns

Education / Professional Experience/ Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

·5–7 years of experience in AWS application engineering or DevOps roles

·AWS certifications strongly preferred:

oAWS Certified Developer – Associate

oAWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
