Â
seeking an experienced AWS Lead to spearhead the design, build, and deployment of cloud infrastructure solutions within AWS. The ideal candidate will possess a strong software development background, hands-on experience standing up AWS environments from the ground up, and expertise in building secure, scalable, and highly available cloud platforms.
This role will serve as the technical lead for AWS cloud initiatives, partnering with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade cloud solutions. The successful candidate should be equally comfortable developing applications, automating infrastructure, and leading cloud transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
AWS Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture
Lead the design and implementation of AWS cloud environments from initial setup through production deployment.
Build and configure secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure.
Develop cloud architecture frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Design multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.
Implement networking solutions including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Load Balancers, VPNs, and Direct Connect.
Drive infrastructure modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
Build infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and deployment pipelines.
Implement infrastructure provisioning using:
Terraform
CloudFormation
AWS CDK
Automate environment creation, monitoring, patching, and disaster recovery processes.
Development & Application Support
Leverage software engineering expertise to support cloud-native application development.
Collaborate with development teams to design scalable application architectures.
Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and backend services.
Troubleshoot application and infrastructure performance issues.
Guide teams in adopting cloud-native development patterns.
DevOps & CI/CD
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
Integrate DevOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Support containerization and orchestration strategies.
Implement automated testing, deployment, and monitoring solutions.
Security & Governance
Establish AWS security best practices and governance standards.
Implement IAM policies, role-based access controls, and security monitoring.
Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Partner with security teams to perform architecture and risk reviews.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and cloud strategy sessions.
Mentor junior engineers, cloud administrators, and developers.
Serve as the primary AWS technical lead across multiple projects.
Communicate cloud architecture decisions to executive and technical stakeholders.
