AWS Connect Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)
Duration: 12 Months

Introduction

Our client is seeking an experienced engineer to support a large-scale Contact Centre as a Service (CCaaS) transformation program for a major Canadian financial institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, developing, and supporting Amazon Connect solutions within enterprise AWS environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 years of software or cloud engineering experience.
• 3 years of hands-on Amazon Connect implementation experience.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise contact centre solutions.
• Strong AWS cloud development experience.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement Amazon Connect solutions.
• Build and maintain Contact Flows, Queues, Routing Profiles, Hours of Operation, and Quick Connects.
• Develop and support IVR solutions using Amazon Connect.
• Integrate Amazon Connect with enterprise applications using AWS services and APIs.
• Develop cloud-native integrations leveraging AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and related services.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Developers, QA teams, and client stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support contact centre modernization and migration initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical design reviews.
• Document technical solutions and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
