Description:

At MercyOne, health care is more than just a doctor’s visit or a place to go when you’re in need of medical attention. Our Mission is based on improving the health of our communities – that means not only when you are sick but keeping you well.

MercyOne Genesis serves a 17-county bi-state region of the Quad Cities (Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa, and Rock Island and Moline, Ill.) metropolitan area and the surrounding communities of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. But when it comes to clinical capabilities and quality, we exceed those geographical limits. We have earned distinction as a two-time national Top 15 Health System, and recognition for being in the top 1 percent in the nation for patient safety.

  • Ensure end-to-end readiness for scheduled procedures, including equipment, instrumentation, implants, and supplies.

- Equipment, Implants & Product Management:

  • Ensure specialty equipment and implant readiness, including new technology and robotics as applicable.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, SPD, and vendors to support inventory optimization and availability.

  • Participate in product evaluations, trials, and value analysis activities, providing clinical insight and recommendations.

- Surgeon & Interdisciplinary Liaison:

  • Act as a trusted liaison between surgeons and perioperative operations.

  • Facilitate communication related to service line needs, new procedures, equipment changes, and operational improvements.

  • Partner closely with Anesthesia, SPD, and Clinical Education to support new surgeons, procedures, and technologies.

- Waste Reduction & Cost Stewardship:

  • Identify opportunities to reduce case-level waste, supply overutilization, and non–value-added variation.

  • Support initiatives that improve cost effectiveness while maintaining clinical quality and safety.

  • Contribute to service line performance metrics related to efficiency, utilization, and throughput.

- Education & Change Support:

  • Collaborate with Clinical Education to support competency validation related to new procedures, equipment, and implants.

  • Serve as a clinical resource during implementation of new products, workflows, or service line initiatives.

- Other duties as needed and assigned by the manager.

- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other Trinity Health and MercyOne policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
