Terran Robotics is building the future of sustainable housing through the autonomous construction of adobe homes using a machine dubbed Terraformer. We are seeking an Autonomous Construction Operator to join our field operations team. This role is responsible for mixing material, operating our robotic construction system, and pushing construction progress on residential jobsites. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools and equipment, and able to support daily field operations with minimal supervision.

We are seeking an Autonomous Construction Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be at the cutting edge of technology and work hard to build a better world.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and monitor robotic system in outdoor field environmentsÂ
- Mix and deliver adobe material to Terraformer
- Operate small equipment (e.g., mixer, skid steer, telehandler, man lift, etc.) as neededÂ
- Use hand and power tools safely and proficiently
- Conduct daily equipment inspections (startup, shutdown, safety checks)Â
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job siteÂ
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipmentÂ
- Document work performed and report issues to supervisorÂ
- Assist with setup, calibration, and positioning of robotic systemsÂ
- Support continuous operations across assigned shifts including weekends if needed
- Identify abnormal operations
- Troubleshoot and fix mechanical and operational issues in real timeÂ
Required Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with hands-on experience using tools or equipmentÂ
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditionsÂ
- Physically capable of lifting, standing, and performing field workÂ
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work assigned shiftsÂ
- Ability to follow instructions and safety proceduresÂ
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (local commute preferred)Â
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating small equipment (e.g., skid steer or similar machinery)Â
- Background in construction, maintenance, automotive, or related tradesÂ
- Trade school or technical training (construction, robotics, mechatronics, etc.)Â
- Prior experience working with robotics, automation, or mechanical systemsÂ
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practicesÂ
- Experience working in outdoor or field-based rolesÂ

Compensation
- Salary Range: $20–$25/hr commensurate with experience, qualifications and location
- Equity: Participation in the Company’s Equity Incentive Plan
