Automation Tester in Java

We are seeking a skilledAutomation Tester in Java to join our quality engineering team, responsible for designing and executing automated test solutions across frontend and backend systems while ensuring high standards of performance, security, and reliability throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design test strategies and plans using BDD approaches
• Define acceptance criteria for software features
• Create scripts for automated testing in frontend (web, mobile) and backend (services) environments
• Manage automation pipelines within CI/CD processes
• Interpret performance test results and provide actionable insights
• Develop scripts for automated security testing
• Apply shift-left and shift-right testing practices across projects
• Validate data and execute queries for testing purposes
• Communicate clearly in technical contexts and participate actively in meetings and reviews
• Collaborate with the team, sharing progress and blockers in a timely manner
• Explain testing work to other roles, including in complex scenarios

Requirements

• More than 2 years of experience in test automation
• Proficiency in test management tools such as Jira and X-Ray
• Knowledge of testing processes and types (ISTQB FL / AT)
• Proficiency in automation frameworks such as SerenityBDD, Screenplay, Gherkin-Cucumber, and Karate
• Intermediate knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter and K6
• Intermediate knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and source code repositories like Git
• Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL, Oracle, DB2, and PostgreSQL
• Intermediate knowledge of data analytics applied to quality metrics
• Knowledge of software development practices, including SOLID principles, Clean Code, refactoring, and DRY/DAMP
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies or frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
• Negotiation skills and ability to adapt to different working styles within a team

Nice to have

• Intermediate knowledge of security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP
• Knowledge of ITIL v4
• Knowledge of Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Windsurf
• AI-related certification, preferably in GitHub Copilot or similar tools such as Claude, Gemini, GPT, or Grok
• Knowledge of AI-driven test execution agents and AI-assisted development
