Job Description: Test Automation Engineer

Location: Delaware or Texas

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests across web applications, APIs, and performance testing scenarios. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify quality risks, troubleshoot issues, track defects, and support reliable software releases. Experience validating AI/ML outputs, particularly OCR/ICR data extraction, is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium and/or Cypress.

• Perform REST and SOAP API testing using Postman and/or SoapUI.

• Plan and execute performance tests using JMeter, analyze results, and identify performance bottlenecks.

• Write SQL queries to validate data, investigate issues, and reconcile application results.

• Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and regression test suites.

• Log, track, manage, and retest defects using JIRA.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Identify quality risks, communicate testing progress, and report potential release blockers to stakeholders.

• Where applicable, validate AI/ML model outputs, including OCR/ICR extraction accuracy and confidence-score thresholds.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium and/or Cypress.

• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using Postman and/or SoapUI.

• Practical experience with performance testing using JMeter.

• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.

• Experience using JIRA for defect tracking and test coordination.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple testing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing AI/ML model outputs.

• Familiarity with OCR/ICR data extraction workflows and accuracy measurements.

• Experience validating model confidence scores and threshold-based outcomes.
