About The Job:
- As a member of the AV IT team, he/she will be responsible to provide tier1 and tier2 operational support for Standard conference rooms, VC Rooms, Training Rooms, Cafeteria and meeting request within Qualcomm Chennai that meet a diverse set of business requirements which will include technical support for all AV related tasks like Checking conference rooms on daily basis, Maintaining AV Stocks, keeping inventory, Closely working on AV tickets etc.
- He/she should also be responsible for evaluating new technologies.
- Keen to solve problems within a collaborative environment.
- He/she should be responsible for addressing any crises which occur and need immediate attention.
- Provide AV support for Qualcomm customers which includes: PRIMARY:
- Responsible for all operational tasks related to AV team in Chennai.
- Checking of all conference rooms on daily basis. Work on high priority in case of any issue in any conference room.
- Day to day operational support which includes, alignment of projector screen, Replacing of Projector lamp, Checking VC rooms including Audio, Video & presentation. Level 1 programming of MLC, DSP, VC which includes firmware upgrade (in case required) adding / editing programming codes.
- Monthly inventory which include AV Asset receiving/deployment/tracking movements/ disbursement
- Update of AV Stock Room
- Servicenow tickets management to monitor/track all tickets & make sure all tickets will be closed/acted on right time.
- Monthly & Yearly audit with physical verification of all IT assets.
- Providing various required data other than regular data as per the management requirement on time.
- A Team player willing to support other IT Team members on a need basis.
- Being collaborative with Pan India AV team & Client team to ensure seamless & productive AV operation.
- Provide backup support to all India AV Operation.
- Contributing to the identification of opportunities to optimize the organization’s investment in it’s hardware assets.
- Partnering with key hardware asset management stakeholders, educating, negotiating, and influencing them on options and alternatives.
- Working in conjunction with the Regional Service Managers to establish the end-to-end hardware asset management scope, service level objectives, roles and responsibilities, and inventory, and cost specific to their region.
- Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience in AV Industry.
- Superior knowledge of AV Technology
- Experience working within global teams
- Knowledge on AV programming like Extron, Crestron, Biamp, clearone, etc.
- Hands-on experience in Asset Management tool, Preferably ServiceNow Tool.
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Solid analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to learn new technologies, tools and processes quickly
- Good understanding of computer Hardware like Laptop / Desktop / IP hones / Printers and other IT accessories
- Good communication skills
- Education Requirements Required: BE Computer Science/Electronics or equivalent.
- Related AV Certification will have added advantage.
