Responsibilities

  • Provide operational oversight, informal coaching and direction of Attractions teams to ensure the safe operation of all attractions
  • Assist with monitoring and operating all attractions spaces including greeting Guests, loading and unloading attractions, operating attraction systems, delivering narrations and providing audience control while always ensuring Guests and Crew Member’s safety
  • Memorizing and delivering narrations (spiel) at a variety of lengths on a microphone to large groups
  • Monitoring Guest flow and providing a safe Guest experience
  • Enforce policies and ride restrictions including monitoring height restrictions
  • Ensure safety of ride operations including verifying safety restraints and belts are safely secured before a ride is set into motion
  • Proactively engage with Guests by addressing needs, answering questions, and other information
  • Create daily Crew schedules and assist with reviewing, recording and tracking all training requirements in system of record
  • Ensure Crew Members are adhering to established opening/closing checklist requirements and location operating guidelines; perform LOB audits
  • Accountable for the show quality and Guest experience in all attraction facilities
  • Provide mentorship to Attractions Host roles and assist with development activities as required
  • Verify required checklists highlighting daily operational tasks and execution of safety requirements are complete and signed
  • Provide assistance with Guest challenges and escalate as required
  • Maintain inventory of all supplies needed for the Attractions operation, including pre-cruise inventory and ordering
  • Handle Attractions training for all new Crew Members
  • Knowledge of Recreation Manager Attractions and Recreation position and ability to assist where required
  • Assist with the Attractions operation and fill in if needed and as directed based on skills and performance
  • Provides professional and social guidance to subordinates by exemplary personal behavior
  • Monitor radio communication with Attractions Host, Recreation Manager Attractions and Lifeguards and other areas
  • Be fully certified as a licensed lifeguard and participate and facilitate all training and operational audits, including in-service training, re-certification, Lifeguard New Hire training, as well as attractions training etc.
  • Ability to be the first responder or an on-scene commander during emergency situations ensuring safe practices are consistently executed
  • Any other reasonable request by Management including development and training classes
  • Liaison with vendors and shipboard Engineering partners
  • Complies with the safety competencies, and all company policies and procedures
  • Emergency Duties as specified in the ship Assembly Stations and Emergency Functions Plan
  • SMS - uphold the general safety management responsibilities in areas and operations under their control
  • Physical role requiring heavy lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, standing, walking, and kneeling. Must be able to grip, grasp, and lift from 5 to 25 pounds and must be able to push and pull up to 40 pounds
  • Prolonged standing in outdoor settings during different weather conditions

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of recent work experience in high volume environment, preferably in attractions
  • Good computer skills and operational knowledge
