The responsibility of the Acoustical Engineer includes developing innovative acoustic design solutions for personal computer systems. This involves all acoustic-related design and sustaining activities, including cross-functional or OEM interaction necessary to deliver products into production. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to use state-of-the-art acoustic analysis tools to create, test, and validate computer systems and components.

A close working relationship with Thermal, Electrical, Mechanical, Power, and other development groups is also required to meet critical project objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing early involvement with product concept creations, including acoustic, mechanical, and thermal development and detail design.
• Developing and executing system and component-level testing on prototypes throughout the development process.
• Developing and implementing customer-focused acoustic specifications for computer systems and components.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout.
• Experience with hardware testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Six (6) or more years of experience working with DMEA-accredited fabrication houses.
• Four (4) years of documented, specialized engineering experience in thermal management, signal integrity, and undersea sensor systems.
