We are seeking a senior-level Interdisciplinary Scientist III to provide specialized scientific support, environmental analysis, and technical advisory services. In this contractor role, you will support scientific workflows addressing the intersection of naval operations and the marine/coastal environment. You will evaluate complex environmental data, monitor factors impacting wildlife and natural habitats, and provide data-driven recommendations to support the Navy's environmental preservation and regulatory compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Environmental Analysis & Assessment: Analyze and report complex measurements and observations of air, water, soil, and other environmental sources to identify and mitigate potential pollution risks.
• Pollution Control Research: Conduct scientific data reviews and research to assist in identifying and eliminating sources of pollutants that could affect people, wildlife, and surrounding naval test environments.
• Environmental Resource Preservation: Formulate technical recommendations and data packages regarding the optimal methods to clean, protect, and preserve the local operating environment.
• Hazard & Resource Tracking: Support data-tracking workflows related to water, mineral, and energy resources, as well as the forecasting of potential future geologic and environmental hazards.
• Atmospheric & Weather Data Support: Facilitate the processing environmental data—including air pressure, temperature, humidity, and wind velocity—to support fleet readiness and testing windows.

Required Qualifications

• Clearance:  All applicants must have a verifiable Secret clearance
• Education: Ph.D. in a recognized science field (e.g., Biology, Environmental Science, Marine Science, or a closely related life science discipline).
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Life or Physical science workflows.
• Core Skills: Advanced scientific writing capabilities to translate field observations and environmental measurements into actionable technical reports for engineering review.
