Appointments Committee

Purpose: TheAppointments Committee recruits volunteers for UUA Board-appointed Committees -- and for elected committees when there is a mid-term vacancy.

Key responsibilities: Publicize committee openings (volunteers opportunities), interview volunteers, check references,  communicate with committee chairs, communicate with Board, communicate with Nominating Committee.

Skills needed: communication skills. teamwork, follow-through, reliability, self directed, discretion

Length of Term: 2 years, with up to 3 renewals, for a total of 8 years.

Meetings: 2 in person -- others via zoom as needed; attendance at GA expected

Length of meetings: winter: 2 days. GA 1 day.  others 1-2 hours
