Associate Network Engineer

About the role
Globalpundits is hiring an Associate Network Engineer for a multi-year technology program with a client in the regulated energy sector. You'll help implement and maintain network infrastructure, including connectivity, performance and security of network systems.
What you'll do
- Help implement and maintain network infrastructure under general supervision
- Monitor network connectivity, performance and availability, and respond to routine issues and tickets
- Troubleshoot network problems using established procedures and escalate complex issues
- Support configuration changes to switches, routers, firewalls and wireless equipment by following change processes
- Help apply network security controls and keep device configurations current
- Document network layouts, configurations and issue resolutions
What we're looking for
- Up to 4 years of experience administering or supporting enterprise or plant-floor network infrastructure
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching and basic firewall concepts
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- CCNA or equivalent networking certification preferred (or working toward one)
- Clear documentation and communication skills
