Job Description:
We are looking for an Associate to join Bank of America’s Australia Healthcare Research Team. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing platform advising institutional clients, with a clear pathway to independent coverage in future. The role requires deep analytical capability, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with the Lead Analyst to deliver insightful research on Australian large-cap healthcare companies.
Role Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain financial earnings and valuation models
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality control across research outputs
- Build and maintain industry databases and leading indicators across the coverage universe
- Analyze company results, industry developments, and news flow to generate investment insights
- Contribute to and independently author research reports
- Contribute to and author interesting thematic research reports with cross-sector and cross-region collaboration
- Support corporate and strategic access activities and assist with institutional client engagement (meetings, bespoke work, etc.)
Required qualifications and skills:Â
- 3–5 years of experience in sell-side research, buy-side investing, investment banking, corporate finance, valuations, or strategy consulting
- Sector experience in Healthcare is appreciated but not required
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking, and natural curiosity
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- High level of ownership, self-motivated, independent and with high attention to detail
- Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career in financial markets
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
