Job Summary

The Associate HCM Systems Analyst – Dayforce supports the administration, configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization’s Dayforce HCM platform. This role will have a primary focus on Core HR, employee data, workflows, user access and security, reporting, and other foundational Dayforce functionality.

Working as part of the HCM Systems team, the Associate Analyst will partner with HR Operations, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders to support day-to-day system needs, troubleshoot issues, implement system changes, and maintain accurate and effective HR processes within Dayforce.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience administering Dayforce, particularly within Core HR, and is comfortable working with workflows, security and user maintenance, reporting, employee data, and system testing. This role is well suited for someone who has established Dayforce experience and is looking to continue developing broader HCM systems configuration and analytical capabilities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Dayforce, with a primary focus on Core HR and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Configure and maintain Dayforce functionality including workflows, forms, approval processes, notifications, and other Core HR configuration.
  • Administer user accounts, security roles, access assignments, and other user maintenance activities.
  • Build, modify, and maintain Dayforce reports to support HR operations, audits, business needs, and data analysis.
  • Support employee and organizational data maintenance, including job, position, department, manager, location, and other foundational HCM data.
  • Troubleshoot system, configuration, access, workflow, reporting, and data issues and escalate more complex issues when appropriate.
  • Partner with HR teams to understand business requirements and assist with configuring practical system solutions.
  • Perform system testing and validation for configuration changes, enhancements, fixes, and Dayforce releases.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios and support user acceptance and regression testing.
  • Monitor data quality and assist with identifying and correcting data integrity issues.
  • Support recurring HR processes and employee lifecycle events within Dayforce.
  • Assist with data imports, exports, audits, and validation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve workflows, reduce manual work, and improve the employee and manager experience.
  • Maintain system configuration documentation, process documentation, and change records.
  • Provide functional and technical support to HR system users and assist with user training and knowledge transfer.
  • Research Dayforce functionality and work with internal HCM team members, Dayforce Support, and other resources to resolve system issues.
  • Participate in HCM projects, system enhancements, implementations, testing, and other HR technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with global stakeholders and team members across multiple countries and time zones.

 

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Dayforce training or certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant hands-on HCM systems experience will be considered.

 

Competencies, Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on experience administering or supporting Dayforce HCM.
  • Experience with Dayforce Core HR / People strongly preferred.
  • Experience configuring and supporting workflows, forms, approvals, and notifications.
  • Experience with user administration, security roles, and access maintenance.
  • Experience creating and maintaining Dayforce reports and working with HR data.
  • Understanding of employee data and common HR lifecycle processes such as hires, transfers, promotions, manager changes, organizational changes, and terminations.
  • Experience troubleshooting system, workflow, access, reporting, or data issues.
  • Familiarity with system testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of system changes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in understanding how systems and processes work.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into system or process changes with guidance as needed.
  • Ability to research unfamiliar Dayforce functionality and develop increasing technical and functional expertise.
  • Understanding of HR data security, confidentiality, and role-based access.
  • Exposure to additional Dayforce modules such as Payroll, Time & Attendance/Workforce Management, Recruiting, Performance, Compensation, or Learning is a plus.
  • Exposure to data imports/exports, integrations, or other HCM data tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a global, cross-functional team.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple time zones.
