Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum4+ years of hands-on experience in Software Development with strong backend engineering expertise.
• Strong understanding ofData Structures, Algorithms, Computational Complexity, and Problem Solving.
• Excellent working knowledge ofJava (17+), including:
  • Concurrency and Multithreading
  • Collections Framework
  • JVM Internals and Performance Optimization
  • Functional Programming concepts
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintainingJava/Spring-based applications, including:
  • Spring Boot
  • Spring MVC
  • Spring Data JPA
  • RESTful APIs
  • Event-Driven Architectures
• Proven experience in building and operatingMicroservices architectures, including service decomposition, resilience patterns, scalability, and observability.
• Strong understanding ofObject-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD) and implementation of common design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean architecture practices.
• Excellent knowledge ofRelational Databases, SQL optimization, query tuning, indexing strategies, and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience withTest-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks include:
  • JUnit
  • Mockito
  • Spring Test
  • Karate or Cucumber Framework (BDD)
• Proficiency with modern SDLC and DevOps tools:
  • Git / Bitbucket
  • Maven / Gradle
  • Jenkins

• Experience working with Cloud and Container platforms:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes (preferred)
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like ELK.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across distributed teams and stakeholders.

AI-Assisted Development & Engineering Productivity (GenAI)

• Experience usingGenerative AI-powered software development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality, such as:
  • Gemini CLI
  • Claude Code / Claude CLI
• Ability to leverage AI tools for:
  • Code generation and refactoring
  • Unit test creation
  • API development and documentation
  • Code review assistance
  • Root cause analysis and troubleshooting
  • Performance optimization recommendations
• Understanding ofResponsible AI-assisted development practices, including:
  • Validating AI-generated code
  • Security and compliance reviews
  • Prompt engineering for software development
  • AI-assisted debugging and system analysis
  • Maintaining code quality, maintainability, and governance standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Banking, Payments, FinTech, or high-volume transaction systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and Cloud-native application development.
• Contributions to engineering productivity initiatives, developer platforms, or AI-driven development practices will be highly valued.
