Our organization is growing and as we grow we need more data support! The Associate Application Analyst provides day-to-day support, end-user training, and education for the organization's EHR/EMR platforms and related business applications. This role performs basic troubleshooting, data entry, and data corrections, and helps end users of all technical skill levels resolve routine system issues and developing proficiency in application use.
The ideal candidate for ourAssociate Application Analyst not only has a keen eye for detailed reports but also has experience providing support to clinical staff by reviewing data entry errors and providing one on one instruction. Who are we? Thurston Mason Behavioral Health Administrative Organization (TMBH-ASO) and Olympic Health and Recovery Services (OHRS) is a quasi-governmental organization that is responsible for the network of behavioral health crisis services in Thurston and Mason counties, and is a licensed behavioral health agency with multiple programs assisting the most vulnerable population in our community through crisis services, jail services, hospital diversion, and housing.
Salary Range: $26.58 - $36.23 per hour, negotiable based on experience, education, and parity within the organization.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. An alternate schedule can be arranged with supervisor approval after satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
MAJOR RESPONSIBIITIES:
- Provide first-level support and basic troubleshooting for EHR/EMR platform users, escalating complex issues to Application Analysts or the Senior Applications Analyst as needed.
- Perform data entry and data corrections within the EHR system to support the accuracy and completeness of client and clinical records.
- Conduct insurance eligibility checks and support related data verification tasks.
- Retrieve, import, process, and validate reports, acknowledgements, eligibility responses, and other data exchanges from EHR/EMR platforms and other organizational data systems. Process EHR data integrity reports, identifying processing errors and working with clinicians to correct data.
- Perform client and provider account maintenance, including processing duplicate member records for correction, account merges, and staff credentialling portals.
- Assist end users of all skill levels with day-to-day questions and basic training on business applications, communicating technical concepts in clear, accessible terms.
- Support routine system monitoring, data quality reviews, data correction and validation tasks under the direction of senior team members.
- Provide onboarding, refresher, and training to clinical and administrative staff on EHR and related business applications. Create and maintain associated training and materials.
- Help document standard operating procedures, troubleshooting steps, and training materials for common system issues.
- Assist with testing of system updates, patches, and configuration changes prior to deployment.
- Independently prioritize assigned tasks and support tickets to meet deadlines and manage multiple routine priorities.
- Maintain a basic understanding of healthcare operations, including data entry, data corrections, and insurance eligibility processes. Responsible for a variety of data entry projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's degree or equivalent to 2 years of experience in a related behavioral health or medical related field.
- Experience working within EHR/EMR platforms.
- Ability to work with users of all skill levels for basic troubleshooting and training.
- Basic understanding of behavioral health/crisis center operations, including data entry, data corrections, and insurance eligibility checks.
- Basic analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to independently prioritize given work assignments, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with staff members of diverse technical skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Current driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Satisfactory Washington State Patrol background check and Office of Inspector General check.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Familiarity with Netsmart myAvatar (or equivalent EHR platform), including basic navigation and data entry functions.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to determine and resolve routine software issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to interpret and follow established policies and procedures.
- Good critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of pertinent local, state, and federal laws.
- Basic understanding of applicable HIPAA and 42 CFR requirements and regulations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Primarily works in an office environment with occasional travel to meeting locations. May be required to attend early morning, evening, or weekend meetings. May be required to carry a cellular telephone.
- Position will be required to provide onsite training to support staff at an OHRS work site location. Offsite meetings, and travel to satellite offices for support in fleet vehicle or reliable transportation is required.
- Minimal physical exertion is required. This position will be required to sit or stand at a desk, typing and viewing monitors for extended periods of time. May be required to lift or move boxes/equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
