Major/Essential Functions
- Provides Pediatric Hematology/Oncology inpatient care, outpatient care, and inpatient consultation services to newborns, children, and adolescents
- Participates in the education of medical students and residents
- Supervises advanced practice professionals in the clinical setting
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso
- Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
- Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
- Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree, or foreign medical degree equivalent
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited pediatrics residency program
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship training program in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology   • ..,.
- Texas medical license, or eligibility for medical licensure in Texas
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Board certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Experience in teaching Pediatric Hematology/Oncology to medical students and residents in the clinical and classroom settings
- Experience with participation in the Children's Oncology Group (COG)
- Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher
