Objective of the Role

The Assistant Manager – Service will act as the site service leader responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability, safe maintenance practices, and efficient team performance. The role requires strong technical expertise in HEMM and mining equipment, effective leadership capabilities, and the ability to coordinate with customers and stakeholders in a demanding mining environment.

Job Responsibility / KRA

1. Technical Troubleshooting & Maintenance

• Lead hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting of HEMM and mining equipment.
• Ensure timely breakdown resolution to minimize equipment downtime.

2. Failure Analysis & Continuous Improvement

• Analyse equipment failure data to identify trends and recurring issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.

3. Safety, Risk & Compliance

• Identify hazards and perform risk assessments as per site requirements.
• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, SMPs, and OEM safety standards with zero tolerance for safety violations.

4. Team & Resource Management

• Lead and manage a workforce of approximately 20 personnel and 10 HEMM units.
• Allocate manpower and equipment efficiently to meet operational targets.

5. Customer & Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the primary interface with the customer during critical and high-pressure situations.
• Ensure professional communication and timely reporting to management and client representatives.

Special Working Conditions: -If any- Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting Knowledge and Exposure to underground or surface mining conditions as applicable

Main interactions of the role: - Site service team, Equipment fleet management, Customer representatives and internal management

Education Qualification: Diploma/Degree Engineering. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in HEMM and mining equipment service operations
