JOB SUMMARYÂ
The Assistant Director, Ticketing oversees all aspects of ticket operations and sales within the Athletics department including ticketing responsibilities for men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, and volleyball, maintaining computer system integrity, hiring, evaluating, and training of staff. This position works closely with other external relations staff to maintain communication and develop marketing strategies for ticket sales, establish and maintain a philosophy of customer service throughout the entire ticket office. This position also serves as primary sales contact for all external and internal constituents, supports process orientation, best practice, and cost-effective management.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Oversees ticket sales and operations for all ticketed athletic events for Saint Louis UniversityÂ
- Develops, manages, and executes a ticket sales campaign, with a focus on men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball season tickets, mini plans, suites, group and individual game sales to maximize customer relations and revenueÂ
- Develops concepts for season ticket retention, which results in a dual plan for renewing tickets along with creating new businessÂ
- Maximizes creative marketing efforts with existing and potential new season ticket holders (i.e. include, but not limited to, social media, emails, texting technology, web ads, corporate strategies, and sales campaigns)Â
- Manages all aspects of game day ticketing operations and cash depositsÂ
- Coordinates with the business office for financial reconciliationÂ
- Creates and cultivates relationships with current and future season ticket holders and athletic donorsÂ
- Serves as a member of the Senior administrative leadership teamÂ
- Oversees graduate assistant and student workers assigned to ticketing officeÂ
- Develops a communication plan for distributing information and engaging season ticket holdersÂ
- Resolves of all customer service issues at all points of sale locations and at athletic eventsÂ
- Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESÂ
- Knowledge of ticketing systems, box office operations, and event ticket sales processesÂ
- Knowledge of revenue reconciliation, cash handling procedures, and financial reporting practices related to ticket operationsÂ
- Knowledge of customer relationship management strategies, season ticket retention, and sales campaign developmentÂ
- Excellent communication skills for working with diverse groupsÂ
- Strong written communication skillsÂ
- Excellent organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detailÂ
- Demonstrated appreciation for diversity and inclusionÂ
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely mannerÂ
- Ability to analyze ticket sales trends and recommend strategies to improve revenue, attendance, and customer engagement
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Five or more years of related experience
- Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends: willingness to travel as needed
