Location:Staten Island, NY (Onsite)
Employment Type:Full-Time - Includes one weekend day and potential evening hours 1–2 days per week
Compensation:
Pay Range: $70,000 Per Year
Job Summary:
• Mitchell Martin Healthcare is partnering with an established nonprofit organization in Staten Island dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance use disorders through residential treatment, counseling, and recovery support.
• We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director to help oversee a men's residential treatment program.Â
• This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring staff, supporting daily operations, and making a meaningful impact on individuals working toward long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with the Program Director to oversee daily operations of the residential treatment facility.
• Supervise, mentor, and support counseling and residential staff, including weekly clinical supervision.
• Assist with staff evaluations, performance management, recruitment, and hiring recommendations.
• Ensure residents receive quality treatment in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and program planning.
• Maintain compliance with NYS OASAS regulations, program policies, and documentation requirements.
• Oversee accurate and timely maintenance of resident records.
• Participate in quality assurance reviews and program improvement initiatives.
• Monitor program census, admissions, referrals, and relationships with community referral sources.
• Support facility operations, including safety, security, cleanliness, and supplies.
• Serve as secondary emergency on-call coverage when the Program Director is unavailable.
Qualifications:
• CASAC-Advanced or higher, or an active NYS LMSW license – required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a substance use treatment program.
• Strong knowledge of NYS OASAS regulations and residential treatment requirements.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage staff, handle challenging situations, and maintain a supportive treatment environment.
• Flexible availability to accommodate the program's weekend and occasional evening schedule.
