Major/Essential Functions

  • Assist in the facilitating the organization and implementation of Orientation Services to meet University enrollment goals.
  • Oversee Interns and Graduate Assistants.
  • Facilitate the development of working partnerships with faculty, staff, and other constituents across campus.
  • Maintain accurate records and budgets as well as assist in the creation and publishing of promotional and marketing materials as needed.
  • Provide support and representation for the Senior Director of Orientation Services where directed.
  • Lead Sponsorship efforts for Orientation Services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Qualified candidates will have demonstrated abilities in planning, marketing, implementing, and evaluation of orientation programs; proven organizational skills, problem solving abilities, and public relation skills; excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of orientation and extended orientation programs.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain complex partnerships and collaborative programs. 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in related area plus three years progressively responsible supervisory experience.
  • Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention in Higher Education (NODA) membership and participation preferred.
  • Previous experience supervising professional staff.

Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
