PositionSummary:
ThepurposeofthispositionistoservetheDivinitySchoolandtheAdmissionsOffice byexercisingdiscretion and independent judgment in the areas of student application and financial aid processing for the Divinity School. Employment in this position is contingent upon meeting the goal of increasing enrollment to at least 126 students by FY 2031.
EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities:
- ManagefinancialaidfortheDivinitySchoolreportingtotheDirectorof AdmissionsandtheDivinitySchool Financial Aid Committee. Duties include the following:
- Managingscholarshipawards,directaid,aswellasKeeseeandothergrantsdistributedbythe Divinity School.
- WorkingdirectlywiththeUniversityFinancialAidOfficeandBusinessOfficetoensureeffective implementation of financial aid procedures and accuracy of student account information.
- WorkingwithDivinitySchoolFinancialAidCommitteetoensurethatfullyendowedscholarships are awarded in a timely manner and in accordance with the preferences set forth by the scholarship donors.
- Processingtheacceptanceformsforendowedscholarshipsandhandlingthescholarshipthank you notes in compliance with University standards.
- Notifyingstudentsofscholarshipawards,answeringquestionsregardingDivinitySchoolissued financial aid, and working with students throughout their enrollment in Divinity School.
- DevelopingafinancialadvisementprocessforDivinitySchoolstudentstoassist witheffortsto reduce student debt.
- Managetheapplicationprocess.Dutiesincludethefollowing:
- Communicatingwithapplicantsofapplicationstatuses.
- SchedulingofadmissioninterviewswithapplicantsandAdmissionsCommitteemembers.
- Maintainingadmissionsrecordsandreports.
- MaintaininginternalandUniversitydatabaseswithrecordsofapplicantsandcurrentstudents.
- Assist with recruiting initiatives including phone calls, prospective student follow-up, meeting with prospectivestudents,attendingrecruitingeventsasneeded,andparticipatinginadmissionsevents.
- Thispositiondemandsaccuracy, honesty, integrityandtheabilitytoworkwithintheChristianmissionof Campbell University.
- Maintainaprofessionalappearanceanddemeanoratalltimes.
- Otherduties,responsibilitiesandactivitiesmaychangeorbeassignedatanytimewithorwithoutnotice.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor'sdegreerequired;masters-leveltheologicaldegreedesirable.Courseworkorexperienceinthe area of mathematics, finance, or business is also desirable.
- Significantexperienceinaccounting/financeandofficemanagementisdesirable,especiallyinhigher education, non-profit or ministry-related contexts.
