General Descriptions/Primary Purpose
The Assistant Director, under the direction of the Dean, plays an integral role in leading and executing the digital strategy, communications, and promotional initiatives of the Brooks College of Health (BCH). This position serves as a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders, leading content development, recruitment marketing, and digital engagement efforts that elevate the college’s reputation and support student enrollment goals.
Job Functions
- Advises and assists in planning, directing, and reporting the activities of BCH’s communications and marketing strategy.
- Contributes to long- and short-term communications planning, supporting strategic enrollment, branding, and engagement efforts.
- Manages the BCH website, BCH’s main social media platforms, and digital content calendars.
- Develops and executes comprehensive communication plans for academic units and programs.
- Provides consultation and collaboration with academic program directors, leadership, and university partners.
- Oversees the implementation of website accessibility and AEO/GEO/SEO best practices.
- Analyzes campaign data and digital performance metrics to guide decision-making.
- Ensures adherence to UNF branding and communications guidelines.
- Represents the Brooks College of Health at national marketing and communications conferences and participates in continuing education events to remain current on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in higher education marketing.
- Coordinates photography and videography for the Brooks College of Health’s programs and initiatives.
- Attend in-person and off-campus marketing events
- Leads the planning, design and development of BCH’s marketing materials. Ex: Dean’s Monthly Update, Annual Reports, program and unit recruitment materials, website graphics, social media graphics, donor communications, event materials, and other graphics as requested.
- Serve as a liaison between BCH and other offices on campus involved in marketing BCH programs, events, etc.
- During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off-campus location or place of residence.

Required Qualifications
Master's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.Preferred Qualifications
- Strong graphic design and content development skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite)
- Demonstrated experience with CMS platforms (Cascade preferred) and mass email tools (e.g., Emma)
- Knowledge of SEO/AEO/GEO, accessibility, analytics, and CRM systems (Slate and HubSpot experience is a plus)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing marketing projects and teams
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
