Assistant / Deputy Manager - Procurement Air Cargo (Pricing)

Responsibilities 

1. Commercial responsibility within his/her area towards the head of the department
2. Handling of business cases in the area of air cargo import/export shipments and delivering of shipments
3. Organization of cargo routings through other Hubs and distribution to branch offices
4.  Creates SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
5.  Pricing and calculation; makes offers to customers and partners
6. Accepts offers and optimizes the organization of transport
7.  Price negotiations with airlines and General Sales Agents (GSA)
8.  Selection of service provider
9.  Responsible for position results of shipments
10.  Monitors the completion of procedures for dispatching and delivering of shipments (entering electronic data, cover of insurance etc.)
11.  Keeps contact with agents Development of new lanes
12.  Trouble Shooting - adjusts complaints and handles claims together with legal department
13.  Issues obligatory instructions, directives and information in his/her field of responsibility and monitors compliance and performance
14.  Optimizes the service-level
15. Arranges the training of the teammates and trainees
16.  Knowledge of the standard operation procedures and systems like CW1, S.P.O.T.
17. Knowledge of loadability in aircraft and of ULD (Unit Load Device)
18. Support Product Manager to ensure fast and accurate responses to pricing / quoting for all modes of Airfreight from both internal and external customers and sources, e.g. CP network, Sales, overseas offices, RFQ’s) by obtaining and compiling selling rates for business not covered by existing rate agreements
19. Managing carrier relationship for the Region.
20. Develops and maintains strong relationships with airlines to secure competitive rates, ensure cargo space availability, improve service levels and support business growth.
