Position Overview
The Physical Security Asset Management Coordinator serves as the program’s eyes and hands in the field. You’ll travel to company sites to confirm that every installed security device matches the asset register. That covers cameras, card readers, door controllers, intercoms, duress buttons, power supplies and security workstations. You’ll apply physical asset tags, record serial numbers, models, locations and photos, and be on site for new office openings, equipment changes and decommissionings.
Â
You’ll also own the data integrity of the asset register, keeping it complete and current. You’ll help expand the program with automated workflows that track each asset through its lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized and comfortable working independently on site, with an eye for detail and accuracy.Â

Hybrid out of Seattle.

Key Responsibilities
Field validation and tagging
- Travel to company sites to audit installed devices against the asset register. Apply physical asset tags to the Physical Asset Tagging standard.
- Validate device data on site (serial number, model, location and photos) and update the register the same day.
- Report any mismatch, such as a missing, extra, moved or mislabeled device, within 24 hours and follow it until it’s resolved.Â
New openings, changes and decommissioning
- Support new office builds: check installed hardware against the bill of materials and security drawings and make sure devices are tagged before FDOBs.Â
- Verify moves, adds, changes and repairs in the field and remotely. Keep the register updated within 48 hours, with periodic spot checks through the development of site level stakeholder partnerships.Â
- Support decommissioning projects: confirm devices are removed, remove asset labels, record each device’s outcome (redeployed, stored or destroyed), and collect certificates of destruction for devices that held data.
- Work with integrators, the security design and construction team and the Systems team to close gaps.
Inventory and chain of custody
- Coordinate with our third-party storage facilities on receiving, staging, tagging and shipping. Reconcile stock against the register, and flag shortages, overages and missing asset data.Â
- Follow chain-of-custody and tamper-evident procedures for hardware in transit and in storage. Run periodic counts of site equipment and spares.
Register data integrity and automation
- Own the accuracy and completeness of the asset register, and support its move to the program’s new asset management platform.
- Help build automated workflows, including AI-assisted data capture, that track each asset through its lifecycle and reduce manual workflows.Â
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in physical security systems, security integration, field technical work, or inventory or IT asset management.
- Working knowledge of physical security hardware, such as cameras, card readers, door controllers, locks, request-to-exit devices, intercoms and power supplies, with the ability to identify devices in the field.
- Comfortable reading floor plans, security drawings and equipment lists.
- Experience with asset or inventory practices, such as serial number tracking, reconciliation and chain of custody.
- Strong spreadsheet skills in Google Sheets or Excel, with a high bar for data accuracy.
- Self-directed on site: able to manage your own schedule across multiple locations while following procedures consistently.
- Clear written and verbal communication with technicians, vendors, building staff and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with asset management platforms
- Exposure to construction or fit-out projects: BOMs, submittals, as-built drawings and commissioning.
- Warehouse, logistics or third-party logistics coordination experience.
- Familiarity with secure data sanitization and destruction practices (for example NIST SP 800-88) or asset management standards (ISO 55001).
- Experience supporting sites outside the US, particularly in Europe or Asia-Pacific.
- Relevant certifications, such as ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP), IAITAM asset management certifications.Â
Role Requirements
Travel
- Up to 50% travel to company sites in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Trips usually run several days to two weeks.
- Travel increases around new office openings, tagging projects and decommissionings, and may sometimes be scheduled at short notice.
- A valid passport, and the ability to get any required travel documents, are required.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
Physical requirements
- Able to climb and work from ladders (up to about 12 feet) to reach ceiling-mounted cameras and readers.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand and walk for long periods.
- Able to work in equipment rooms, ceilings, garages, loading docks and on rooftops, and in active construction sites. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) is required where it applies.
