Associate Assembler - 1st Shift

As an Assembler with our Central Manufacturing team, you will work as part of a team to perform a variety of tasks using standard processes, documentation, systems, and tools to assemble sub-assemblies and finished goods to meet internal and external customer demands. 

• Work independently alongside team members to assemble finished products and subassemblies
• Independently troubleshoot errors or failures 
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Participate in process improvement initiatives
• Participate in Lean initiatives, completing tasks as assigned
• Use established quality specifications to assemble products in compliance with standards to ensure product integrity and meet customer expectations
• Follow replenishment system standards and practices to maintain efficient material flow that promotes schedule attainment in a JIT environment
• Identify and communicate any low inventory levels or discrepancies
• Participate in training to support standard work in assembly, quality, continuous improvement and replenishment systems to maintain operational excellence
   

Qualifications: 

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent
• 18 years or older
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow directions and standard work documents
• Ability to work independently alongside team members to build sub-assemblies and finished goods
• Ability to independently troubleshoot errors or failures
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Attention to detail
• Excitement about working with a team and within our collaborative ownership culture

Physical Demands: 

• Ability to work with required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Standing for extended periods - 8-hour shifts
• Control handheld power tools
• Requires manual dexterity and repetitive motion activities
