Asia Application Engineering Specialist – Reusable Respirator & Disposable Respirator Portfolios

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to serve as the Asia Product Specialist for our Respiratory Protection portfolio, including Reusable and Disposable Respirators. This role combines regional technical leadership across Asia with hands-on application engineering support for the Korea market.

As a key technical expert, you will partner closely with customers, sales teams, R&D, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing organizations to drive business growth, support new product commercialization, resolve complex technical challenges, and strengthen customer engagement across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Technical Leadership

• Serve as the Asia technical subject matter expert for Respiratory Protection products.
• Provide advanced application engineering support to business teams across Asia.
• Support strategic customer opportunities and key account development.
• Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and application opportunities.
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex product and application issues.

Customer & Application Engineering Support

• Provide technical consultation, product demonstrations, and application assessments.
• Conduct customer visits, product evaluations, field trials, and technical presentations.
• Deliver technical training to distributors, channel partners, and end users.
• Gather Voice of Customer (VOC) insights and translate them into business opportunities.
• Support implementation and adoption of respiratory protection solutions in diverse industrial environments.

New Product Commercialization

• Collaborate with regional and global R&D teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Support product validation, beta testing, customer evaluations, and field trials.
• Collect customer feedback and application data to accelerate successful product launches.
• Contribute technical expertise to commercialization and market readiness activities.

Product Quality & Lifecycle Management

• Support product lifecycle initiatives, product improvements, and change management activities.
• Investigate customer complaints and application-related product issues.
• Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure customer concerns are addressed effectively and professionally.

Regulatory & Compliance Support

• Support product certification and regulatory compliance activities across Asia.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs teams on market-specific requirements.
• Participate in product conformance evaluations and compliance documentation efforts.
• Maintain awareness of relevant PPE regulations and industry standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Business Leaders, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain teams.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical capability development across the Asia organization.
• Support strategic initiatives that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Advanced degree preferred.

• 8+ years of experience in Application Engineering, Technical Service, Product Development, Industrial Safety, Respiratory Protection, or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Demonstrated experience supporting industrial customers in technical or application-focused roles.
• Experience working with regional or global cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting new product introduction and commercialization activities is preferred.
• Knowledge of product quality systems, complaint handling, or regulatory compliance is advantageous.
