About the Opportunity

Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a major international organization for anApplication Support Technician to join a global Digital Solutions Managed Services team.

You’ll support a portfolio of business-critical applications and enterprise tools, working acrossapplication maintenance, Tier-2 support, databases, Windows/Linux environments, and end-user support.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, working across different technologies, and keeping production systems reliable and available.

What You’ll Do

• Provide day-to-dayTier-2 support and maintenance for business applications and enterprise tools.

• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and escalate complex incidents when required.

• Perform administration and troubleshooting acrossMSSQL and open-source databases.

• Support application releases, upgrades, configuration changes, and deployments.

• Assist with structural application changes required during system upgrades.

• Support applications running acrossWindows and Linux environments.

• Respond to application-related queries from users working across different locations.

• Support the deployment of tools and operational processes that improve service delivery.

• Provide knowledge transfer to Tier-1 teams and support end-user training when required.

• Maintain technical documentation, system reports, and knowledge-base content.

• Participate in operational meetings and collaborate with other technical teams.

• Contribute to special projects and provide additional technical support when required.

• Participate in a rotating24/7 on-call schedule, approximately one week per month.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in application maintenance, application support, or general IT support.

• Hands-on experience supportingclient/server applications.

• Good knowledge ofdatabase management and administration.

• Experience working inWindows and/or Linux environments.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to Have

• Experience administeringMicrosoft Windows Server, SQL Server, and .NET applications.

• Knowledge ofMySQL, Red Hat Linux, or Drupal.

• Experience withActive Directory.

• Familiarity withAWS and Azure.

• Microsoft certifications or advanced Microsoft technology training.

• ITIL knowledge or certification.

• Experience working in international or public-sector environments.

• Knowledge of another UN official language.
