About the Role

Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of aEuropean deep-tech company building a sovereign, energy-efficient cloud platform for modern AI and high-performance workloads. The company operates adistributed, highly automated infrastructure and is scaling rapidly across amulti-entity, international footprint.

As part of this growth, building anAI-native finance organization is a strategic priority.

We are seeking aGroup Financial Controller to own and scalegroup accounting, consolidation, reporting, and controls across multiple legal entities. Reporting directly to theCFO, this is asenior, hands-on leadership role for a finance professional capable of structuring, automating, and modernizing accounting operations in a deep-tech environment.

⚠️Strong, proven experience leveraging AI in accounting workflows is mandatory.
This role is not about maintaining legacy processes, but aboutdesigning and operating an AI-first accounting function.

Your Responsibilities

• Own themonthly, quarterly, and annual group close and consolidation processes across all entities.

• Deliveraccurate management accounts, as well as board and investor reporting.

• EnsureIFRS and local GAAP compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

• Define, document, and enforcegroup accounting policies and internal controls.

• Lead, optimize, and scale theNetSuite ERP across the group (NetSuite experience is mandatory).

• Driveautomation and AI adoption in accounting operations, including reconciliations, anomaly detection, journal automation, and close acceleration.

• Manageaudits, statutory filings, intercompany accounting, and transfer pricing processes.

• Partner closely with theCFO on strategic initiatives, scaling efforts, and financial governance.

• Build robust, scalable accounting infrastructure suited to a high-growth, deep-tech organization.

Required Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in accounting, financial control, or similar senior finance roles.

• Strong experience operating inmulti-entity, international environments.

• Background inSaaS, cloud, infrastructure, or deep-tech companies.

• Expert-level NetSuite experience (+++).

• Hands-on experience implementing AI tools in accounting workflows (mandatory).

• Strong knowledge ofIFRS and/or local GAAP, with solid consolidation expertise.

• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).

• Proven ability tobuild finance infrastructure and processes from the ground up.

• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with high ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting rapid international expansion or group restructuring.

• Exposure to automation-first or data-driven finance organizations.

• Prior involvement in audit transformation or finance system implementations at scale.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with executive leadership and investors.
