About Nabi

Nabi is building the first AI-native health system to serve 100M patients with exceptional care in the next 10 years.

We’re starting with eating disorders, where we’re building an agentic care model that empowers clinicians to deliver continuous, high-quality care. We’ve already served tens of thousands of members and raised over $10M from some of the leading VC firms in Silicon Valley.

Why We Need You

Payers are critical to how we expand access to care and build a new model of healthcare delivery.

We believe our care model creates the opportunity to move toward alternative payment models that better align reimbursement with outcomes and the full value of care we deliver.

We’re looking for a VP of Payer Strategy to own this transition.

You will own our payer strategy end-to-end: building relationships with health plans, expanding and improving our contracts, developing our payer-facing value proposition, and designing new reimbursement models.

This is a highly strategic and highly executional role. You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to build the payer function from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

  • Own payer strategy: Develop and execute our national and regional payer strategy, including which payers, markets, lines of business, and reimbursement models we prioritize.

  • Build payer partnerships: Develop senior relationships across health plans and turn them into long-term strategic partnerships.

  • Expand and improve our contracts: Lead new payer contracting and renegotiations to expand network coverage, improve reimbursement, and diversify our payer mix.

  • Build our payer value proposition: Translate our clinical model, patient outcomes, and technology into a differentiated and compelling story for health plans. Develop the data, materials, and business cases required to support it.

  • Develop alternative payment models: Design and negotiate new reimbursement structures, including case rates, bundles, pay-for-performance, and other value-based arrangements.

  • Own payer customer success: Build the operating cadence for existing payer relationships, including regular meetings, QBRs, performance reviews, and opportunities for expansion.

  • Build the economic case: Partner with finance, clinical, and operations to model the unit economics and ROI of new payer arrangements.

  • Build the function: Establish the processes, data, relationships, and eventually the team required to make payer partnerships a core capability of Nabi.

What We’re Looking For

  • Deep experience working with or within commercial health plans, ideally across contracting, network strategy, payer partnerships, or value-based care

  • Builder mentality: you are excited to create the payer function rather than inherit a mature organization and playbook

  • High ownership: you move quickly, operate well in ambiguity, and personally drive important work across the finish line

  • Crisp communicator: you can distill complex clinical, financial, and operational ideas into a compelling narrative for both payer executives and internal teams

  • Deeply mission-aligned: you want to fundamentally improve how healthcare is delivered and paid for

Strong Candidates May Also Have

  • Experience negotiating case rates, bundled payments, shared savings, pay-for-performance, or other value-based arrangements

  • Existing relationships with senior leaders at national and regional commercial health plans

  • Experience building payer strategy at a high-growth healthcare company

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 90 days, you will have developed and tested a differentiated payer-facing value proposition, established a clear contracting and renegotiation strategy, built relationships with priority payer stakeholders, meaningfully advanced conversations with 1–2 health plans, and established a strategy for managing and expanding our existing payer relationships.

You will also have laid the groundwork for Nabi’s first alternative payment models and a payer strategy that meaningfully diversifies our revenue base.

What We Offer

  • Competitive executive compensation

  • Meaningful equity in an early-stage company

  • Competitive healthcare, vision, and dental benefits
