Job summary

This role involves designing developing and maintaining geospatial solutions using DB2/400 and AS400/COBOL technologies. The GeoSpatial Sr. Engineer MAP will work in a hybrid model collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement geospatial solutions using DB2/400 and AS400/COBOL technologies to meet business requirements and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements translating them into technical specifications and actionable development plans.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of geospatial applications to ensure optimal performance and accuracy in data processing.
• Provide technical expertise in maintaining and upgrading existing geospatial systems to improve functionality and user experience.
• Optimize database structures and queries within DB2/400 to enhance data retrieval and processing efficiency.
• Design and execute data migration strategies for geospatial systems ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues implementing solutions to maintain high availability and reliability.
• Document technical processes workflows and system configurations to support knowledge sharing and future development.
