Contract Advisor

MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS

The service holder is in charge:

✓ Ensure that allcontracting initiatives, decisions and commitments are recorded in an auditable manner

✓ Providenegotiation support to package management team on contract deviations including development and maintenance ofdeviation register.

✓ Provide to package management the require expertise onEPC contract management related issues

ACTIVITIES

✓ Ensure that the implementation ofContractor HSSE practices is realized and in accordance with requirements lay down by Package Manager.

✓ Deliverrobust contract management with hands on implementation and support to the Package Management.

✓Monitor contract and Contractor performance and assess the effectiveness and application of the Contracts.

✓ Prepare and administerContract correspondence with Contractors, in line with Package Manager.

✓ Prepare theamendment to Contracts for Project Services Manager’s approval and Project Director’s approval.

✓ Deliver and managecontracts and cost management / value improvements targets.

✓ Study all justifications given by Contractors for anyextra work orders or claim requests.

✓ Prepare anynotice of Default for approval by Project Services/Package Manager.

✓ Prepare anyLiquidated damages applications.

✓ Initiate theContractors performance evaluation document.

✓ Inform Project control about any action, facts or decision which could by the base forContractor’s potential claim.

✓ Follow up onContractor’s Change Order or claims, preparingclaim defense strategy and documents and preparing systematic answers to Contractors’ correspondence claim wise orientated.

✓ Verify thefinal financial statement with support of the Package Manager for thefinal completion certificates validation before presenting the project service manager and Project Director for their review and approval.

✓ Maintain and develop thecontracting knowledge, REX and market knowledge on contracting execution.

✓ Prepare thehand over to operations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

o Timely manage thecorrespondence with Contractors.

o Timely manage, with the support of Package Manager, of theChange orders and claims with Contractors

o Implement theContract management and change orders project procedures

Qualification:

oDegree qualified with a professional contracts and procurement background and prior commercial experience.

oRefining and petrochemicals technologies.

o Knowledge ofTotalEnergies – Saudi Aramco technical referential is a plus.

Languages:

oGood oral and written communication abilities and writing skills in English

Professional Experience:

oAt least 10 to 15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industries

Experience within project:

oExperience in projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia / Middle East.

oExperience in EPCC phase of large project.

oExperience in negotiating contracts on behalf of operators, contractors, suppliers and consultants

o An ability toliaise at all organizational level and represent the Project on contract related matters

o Experience withmultinational and multicultural task force team environment.

o Knowledge ofsafety and environmental aspects of major construction projects.

o Ability toadapt to changes and to work in an international multi-cultural project environment, to cope in a positive and productive manner within intensive environment.Interpersonal skills, rigor and analytical mind.

o Ability towork as a member of a project Team, to liaise, coordinate and positively communicate with the involved different Parties (Contractors, project Entities, auditors, other disciplines representatives, experts, project people, PMT EPCC packages, etc.).
