JOB OVERVIEWÂ
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and recording all incoming goods and supplies. The role ensures that deliveries match purchase orders in terms of quantity, quality, and condition, while maintaining proper documentation and updating inventory records. It also involves identifying discrepancies, coordinating with suppliers and internal departments, and supporting effective stock control and smooth operational flow.Â

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Receive all incoming goods, materials, and supplies from vendors and suppliersÂ
Inspect deliveries to ensure items match purchase orders in quantity, quality, and specificationsÂ
Verify delivery documentation such as invoices, delivery notes, and purchase ordersÂ
Record all received items accurately into the inventory or procurement systemÂ
Report and document any damaged, missing, or incorrect itemsÂ
Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to resolve discrepancies or issuesÂ
Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and documentation of received stockÂ
Assist in organizing and storing goods in designated storage areas or warehousesÂ
Maintain accurate receiving logs and records for audit and tracking purposesÂ
Follow up on pending or partial deliveries with suppliersÂ
Ensure compliance with company policies and receiving proceduresÂ
Assist in stock counts and inventory reconciliation when requiredÂ
Maintain cleanliness and order in the receiving areaÂ
Ensure proper handling of perishable or sensitive items (if applicable)Â
Support internal departments with supply requests and distribution coordinationÂ
Maintain safety standards during unloading and handling of goodsÂ
Assist in preparing reports related to receiving activities and inventory statusÂ
High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in logistics, supply chain, or business is an advantageÂ
1–3 years of experience in receiving, warehousing, inventory, or stores operations (preferably in hospitality or retail)Â
Basic understanding of inventory control and procurement processesÂ
Familiarity with purchase orders, delivery notes, and stock documentationÂ
Experience using inventory or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or similar systems is an advantageÂ
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for record keeping and reportingÂ

Strong attention to detail and accuracyÂ
