We are seeking experiencedArmed Security Officers to provide professional security services at government-operated facilities throughout Los Angeles County. This role requires individuals who demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, strong customer service skills, and the ability to maintain a safe and secure environment while interacting with employees, visitors, and members of the public.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must:

• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess a current California BSIS Guard Card.
• Possess a valid California Driver's License or California Identification Card.
• Have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Meet all physical requirements necessary to perform security duties.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. 

Armed Officer Requirements

Candidates must possess current and valid:

• California Firearm Permit
• California Firearm Qualification Card
• BSIS Firearms Training Certification
• Baton Permit and Baton Training Certification
• Pepper Spray Permit 

Experience Requirements

Qualified candidates must have one of the following:

• Minimum one (1) year of paid armed security experience within the last five (5) years; or
• Equivalent security training; or
• Relevant military service experience that may satisfy all or part of the experience requirement.

Required Certifications

Prior to assignment, officers must maintain current certifications including:

• CPR Certification (Adult/Child/Infant with AED)
• First Aid Certification
• BSIS Guard Card
• Applicable armed security permits and certifications 

Background Screening Requirements

Selected candidates must successfully complete all pre-assignment screening requirements, including:

• Fingerprint-based criminal background investigation
• Identity verification
• Professional credential verification
• Additional screening requirements as applicable to the assignment

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required screenings and clearances.

Health Requirements

Candidates must provide documentation or complete applicable health requirements, which may include:

• Tuberculosis (TB) screening
• MMR vaccination verification
• Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccination verification
• Hepatitis B vaccination verification or signed declination
• Additional health requirements as required for assignment 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in public-facing environments.
• Strong conflict de-escalation skills.
• Excellent report-writing abilities.
• Prior experience in government, municipal, healthcare, or community service environments.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
