Position Overview

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer – .NET to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in C#, .NET/.NET Core, REST APIs, microservices, SQL, and modern cloud-based application development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and microservices following industry best practices.
• Participate in solution design, technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Build reliable integrations between applications, databases, and third-party systems.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis for production problems.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Implement unit testing and automated testing to maintain high code quality.
• Work with SQL Server and write optimized queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, source control, and automated deployments.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and deliver features within committed timelines.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in the Microsoft technology stack.
• Strong programming experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core, Web API, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
• Experience with Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, relational databases, and query optimization.
• Experience with Unit Testing frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Good to Have

• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to messaging technologies such as Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization using OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect / JWT.
• Experience working on high-volume transactional or payment applications is an added advantage.
